Shaquille O'Neal, often nicknamed "Shaq," is a retired American professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the greatest centers of all time. Born in Newark, New Jersey, on March 6, 1972, he rose to prominence playing college basketball at Louisiana State University (LSU).
O'Neal was the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, selected by the Orlando Magic. He quickly established himself as a dominant force, showcasing his imposing size and athleticism. He led the Magic to the NBA Finals in 1995 before joining the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996.
